INTL. LASALLIAN DAYS OF PRAYER FOR PEACE

From September 21st to October 21st La Salle Academy joined with Lasallians throughout the world in prayers and activities for peace.  Coordinated by Campus Ministry and Young Lasallian teachers the following events were held:

September 21 La Salle Academy Ruminations - Morning Prayer shared
September 21-29 School-Wide Peace/Love Mandela Poetry Workshop (each of the 64 homerooms in the middle and high school contributed a peace design and a word to accompany the design; the designs were used to create 16 mandelas and a peace word poem that were displayed in the case outside the student cafeteria)
September 27 “See you at the pole” Morning Prayer (student led prayer at the flagpole outside the athletic center)
October 1 Gloria Gemma breast cancer awareness 5K walk
October 5 “Take a seat, make a friend”
           (Gathering with San Miguel School students and La Salle students)
October 6 Balloon rosary release
October 16 Students serving at Mary house
October 20 Students and Teachers dressed in white and a minute of silence and prayer for peace throughout the school at 9:00 AM
October 21 Students serving at Amos house

It was a month of activities and prayers (Less Judging; The Hero Inside) that joined our local Lasallian community to the worldwide Lasallian Family!
