Dear Friends,
Welcome to La Salle Academy!
Since our founding in 1871, La Salle has been dedicated to providing an outstanding Catholic, college-preparatory education to young people from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and around the world.
Our community is part of a proud Lasallian tradition that began more than 330 years ago with Saint John Baptist de La Salle, our founder and the Patron Saint of Teachers. Today, we are connected to a vibrant global network of 1,000 schools in 80 countries, serving over one million students.
Our mission is to provide young people—especially those in need—with an excellent education grounded in faith, service, and community. Every day, our faculty and staff strive to touch hearts, inspire minds, and help students become the people Jesus calls them to be.
Located on a 29-acre campus in Providence’s historic Elmhurst neighborhood, La Salle offers state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, athletic facilities, arts spaces, and more. We prepare students for college, career, and a life of service.
The La Salle family includes De La Salle Middle School, which extends our mission to students in grades 6–8, offering the same commitment to academic excellence, faith, and community that defines our high school.
La Salle Academy is a place where teachers touch hearts, inspire minds, and prepare students for college, career, service, and faith-filled lives.

Live Jesus in our hearts—Forever!
