We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic, and creative students who are committed to their education and excited about being a part of our La Salle community. We use the following to assess a student’s qualification for acceptance:
  • Standardized Testing (HSPT)
  • Completed Application/Entrance Exam Form
  • Transcript and Teacher Recommendation
Applications should be submitted during the fall of the year preceding actual enrollment. Prospective transfer students’ applications are reviewed in March.  Completed applications and the $50 application fee may be completed online.

  • School Transcripts and Teacher Recommendations

    The Admission Office will request transcripts and teacher recommendations from your current school after the entrance exam date. A parental release for this purpose is included on the application.  Additional letters of recommendation are not required but are accepted.
  • Placement Examination

    MAKE UP EXAM - Walk-ins Accepted

    Students applying to the 9th and 10th grades are required to take the High School Placement Test, or HSPTwww.ivywest.com/hsptinfo.htm. In addition, prospective students will be required to write an essay at the time of the exam. Applicants whose first choice of secondary school is La Salle Academy are strongly encouraged to take the placement exam at La Salle Academy.

    Please note that the application form serves also as the registration form for the Placement Exam.

    Students applying for 11th grade are required to submit their most recent academic transcripts and standardized test scores.  La Salle Academy does not accept transfer students for the 12th grade. 

    All testers must report for the exam Saturday, December 7 by 8:00 a.m at La Salle Academy.  The exam ends at approximately noon.
    • Use the Academy Avenue entrance next to the Chapel
    • Bring two No. 2 pencils
    • No calculators are allowed
    • No food or drink allowed in the examination room.  The only exception is a bottle of water
  • Notification

    January 31, 2020
    Prospective students who complete all required materials by January 15, 2020, will be among those considered for the first pool of applicants, and will be notified of committee decisions by January 31, 2020. After that date, admission is conducted on a space-available basis.
     
    Prospective transfer students' applications will be reviewed in March.

    A decision reply and tuition deposit are required by the last Friday in February (or a date to be announced). Tuition deposits are non-refundable.
