Applying to La Salle Academy

Why are we so excited? That's simple: you're taking the first step toward getting a quality high school education – and that step is applying to La Salle Academy.

Even with all of the excitement, there are a few important things to remember.

Applications and Inquiry Forms
Submit your a
pplication online in the fall of the year before enrollment, and be careful to select the correct enrollment year. There is a $50 application fee.

Inquiry forms are not applications, but they can be used to connect with the admissions office about upcoming events, due dates, and notifications. Unlike applications, there is no fee to complete an inquiry form.

If you're interested in immediately transferring to La Salle Academy, submit an application and then email so we know to expedite the process. Other than immediate transfers, we review transfer applications each February.

If you're seeking a 12th-grade transfer, please contact the admissions office directly for specific application instructions.

List of 3 items.

  • School Transcripts and Teacher Recommendations

We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic, and creative students who are committed to their education and excited about being a part of our La Salle community. We use the following to assess a student’s qualification for acceptance:
    • Standardized Testing (HSPT)
    • Completed Admissions Application Form
    • Transcript and Teacher Recommendation
The admissions office will work with you to request transcripts and teacher recommendations from your current school after the entrance exam date. A parental release is included in the application.  Additional letters of recommendation are not required but are accepted.
  • Placement Examination

Students applying to enter 9th-grade are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). In addition, prospective students must write an essay at the time of the exam. Applicants whose first choice is La Salle Academy are strongly encouraged to take the placement exam at La Salle. Students applying for transfer into 10th or 11th grade are not required to take the Placement Exam.

    Please Note:
Application forms also serve as placement exam registration forms.

Two test dates held at La Salle Academy:

    • Masks are required
    • Use the Academy Avenue entrance next to the chapel
    • Bring two No. 2 pencils
    • No calculators allowed
    • No food/drink allowed in the exam room (besides a bottle of water)

Prospective students who complete all required materials by January 14, 2022, will be considered in the first pool of applicants and will be notified of committee decisions by January 28, 2022.

After that date, admission is conducted on a space-available basis.
Prospective transfer students' applications will be reviewed in February.

A decision reply and tuition deposit are required three weeks from the decision date. All deposits will go toward a student's tuition. Tuition deposits are non-refundable.
