Campus Life

Parents' Association of La Salle (PALS)

We are an inclusive group of parent volunteers that connect parents to build community around family, students, faculty, staff and alumni. Our goal: Building our LSA Community - Together.

List of 10 items.

  • Alumni Partnership

Fostering a connection with the 19,000+ LSA Alumni via the Alumni Relations and Alumni Association.
  • Campus Ministry

Provide support to Campus Ministry activities with students and families.
  • Challenge Success Partnership

Challenge Success is an initiative that includes monthly meetings of student representatives, parent volunteers and LSA administration to promote student well-being and engagement with learning. PALS supports Challenge Success via partnership and promotion throughout the year.
  • Community Outreach

This program seeks to support the LSA community in need due to a tragedy or other impactful life event.
  • Donald J. Kavanagh AFSC Heart and Soul Award

Facilitating the selection process for this award, which honors the legacy of Donald J. Kavanaugh, former principal and student of La Salle Academy by recognizing a faculty or staff member that embodies a Lasallian heart, generous soul and trusted friendship to faculty, staff and students.
  • Parent Ambassador Program

What better way to show your support of LSA than to act as an ambassador to prospective and newly enrolled families? The Parent Ambassador Program includes many activities like the Open House, Accepted Students Event and Shadow Days as well as organizing Meet and Greets and hosting Information Nights.
  • Ram Shack

One of the pillars of PALS engagement in the LSA community is through the Ram Shack. Be part of the excitement of the LSA football season by volunteering at the snack bar during the games. Get to know other parents and have fun cheering on the team! There are additional opportunities to host snack tables at other athletic events.
  • Social Media Marketing

Promoting PALS initiatives, creating content and moderating social media interaction with a goal of increasing PALS brand awareness.
  • Uniform Closet

PALS supports LSA students and families by managing the school’s uniform closet. We accept gently worn (and laundered) uniforms that can be used by the student body who may have a need for additional uniform items at any time of the school year. Donate your gently used items by dropping them off any time at the security desk. Students can access the Uniform Closet at Student Life during school hours.
  • So much more

In addition to these programs, you will also find PALS volunteers throughout the school year at a myriad of events, welcoming students and families with hospitality and a friendly face. We are always seeking parent volunteers to support these events, including:

    • Teacher, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week
    • Christmas at La Salle
    • Christmas Lighting
    • Senior Wine & Cheese/College Financial Aid Night
    • Junior Class College Admission Planning Program
    • Sophomore Parent Counseling Night

La Salle Academy is a high school rich in history and grounded in the person and teachings of Jesus and the Catholic faith, which are core to the school's life and culture. The De La Salle Middle School provides a strong holistic foundation for students to transition into high school. The high school and middle school provide students of diverse ethnic, economic, and religious backgrounds, a community to foster growth in the tradition of St. John Baptist de La Salle’s ideals of faith, service, and community.
