  • Kairos

The Kairos Retreat at La Salle Academy is an opportunity for students to step away from the busyness of life and reflect on their relationship with God, themselves, and other people. Students will participate participate in community-based activities, listen to student-lead talks, and engage in small group conversation and sharing. The hope is to facilitate an experience or prayer, listening, and reflection that explores the ways they are uplifted by love from God, family and friends - and how to return that love.

  • Lasallian Youth

Lasallian Youth provides students opportunities for encounter with the poor and marginalized within the Providence and Rhode Island community. Service is enriched through optional weekly meetings for reflection and community building. Three values guide the work of Lasallian Youth: Faith, Service, and Community. The work of students in Lasallian Youth is not to help or fix, but to build and grow in relationship with the people they serve and the students they serve alongside. Students are tasked with both assisting the poor in meeting their most basic needs, and also with thinking critically about root causes of injustice and ways to improve social structures so that they meet the needs of all. In doing the work and engaging in reflection, we hope students will grow as people of faith who are attentive to God’s endless love poured out into the world.

    Common Service Sites include:

Students also have the opportunity to participate in national conventions, such as the annual Lasallian Youth Assembly.
