LASALLIAN YOUTH AT DISTRICT GATHERING

Nine La Salle Academy students, members of the Lasallian Youth Group, are at La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA, accompanied by two faculty moderators attending the District of Eastern North America (DENA) annual Summer Lasallian Youth Assembly.  From July 16-21 the La Salle students are gathering with high school students from eleven other Lasallian high schools from the East Coast, as well as a number of students from a Lasallian school in Rome, Italy.  The theme of the Assembly is "If you want peace,  work for justice" (Pope Blessed Paul VI) and attendees are engaging in opportunities to deepen their commitment to faith (prayer and faith-sharing), service (working among the poor of Philadelphia), and community (ice-breaker games, meals, recreation).

The La Salle Academy students attending are: Christopher Azar, Michael Azar, Christina Bacon, Christine Dapaah-Afriyie, Gianna Foley, Annabelle Redding, Olivia Rego, Marina Rouse, and Evan Turgeon.  Religion teacher, Patricia Ducharme, and Campus Minister, Anthony Russo, are accompanying the Lasallian Youth.
