Robert A. DiMuccio ‘75

Robert A. DiMuccio was born and raised in Providence, RI. He graduated from Providence College in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Bob retired in 2022 as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Amica Mutual Insurance Company. He served in the president and CEO position since 2005 and was elected chairman in 2008.

Bob joined Amica in 1991 as a vice president and served in various positions of progressive responsibility, including chief financial officer and treasurer. He began his career with the accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick where he worked for 12 years and earned the position of partner. Bob earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designations,

Bob has been an active leader outside of Amica, serving on the Board of Governors of the American Property Casualty Insurers Association. He is also past Board Chair of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council. Other boards on which he serves or has served include the Property & Liability Research Bureau, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Trust Company and Crossroads Rhode Island. He has also received the Paul Harris Fellow Award, given by Rotary International for outstanding community service.

In 2015, Bob was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award at the La Salle Academy Scholarship Dinner.
Bob and his wife, Rena, live in Newbury, New Hampshire and have two sons, Robert and Joseph.
