LA SALLE FACULTY ATTEND FORMATION PROGRAMS

During the early weeks of the Summer five members of the faculty attended three Regional (Lasallian Region of North America) Formation Programs.

The Buttimer Institute of Lasallian Studies (a two week--three Summer program) was held at Manhattan College in Riverside, NY.  Rosanne Trissler (librarian) graduated the program this Summer (along with former Campus Minister Amanda Proux who is currently serving in Australia/New Zealand as a member of the District Formation Team).  David Martinez (Religion teacher) completed the first year of the program.

DLS Middle School Religion teacher Rosanna Grillo attended the one week Lasallian Social Justice Institute which took place in El Paso, TX/Juarez. MX.  The location on the border allowed for experiential learning about immigration and the Lasallian response to this justice issue.

Beth Cameron (Social Studies teacher) and Eric Simonelli (Director of College Counseling) attended the Brother John Johnston Institute of Contemporary Lasallian Practice.  This four day opening session of the 2nd cohort group was also held at Manhattan College.  The entire program is a two year, 6 session program (two weekends in each year and a 2nd Summer session).
