GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY WINS CLASS A CHAMPIONSHIP

The La Salle Girls Cross Country team won the RIIL's Class A Championship Meet on Saturday at the Covered Bridge course at Ponaganset High School. La Salle's Grace Connolly took the individual title with a time of 18:40.4 on the 3.1 mile course.

Connolly was followed closely by teammate Emily Kane, who finished in second with a time of 18:54, and Alyson Walsh who came in fourth. Junior Emily Wilson came in tenth with a time of 20:17. Senior Sydney Decesare closed out the La Salle scoring with a 14th place finish, one spot ahead of teammate Brooklyn Forcier.

The Lady Rams now set their sights on next Sunday's RIIL State Championship meet on the same Covered Bridge course at Ponaganset.
