Junior DJ Principe defended his title in the 2015 Rhode Island Interscholastic League's Boys Cross Country State Championships Sunday on the 3.1 mile "covered bridge course" at Ponaganset High School. Principe's course record time led a 1-2-3 finish in the race that paced the La Salle team to the state championship. Seniors Matt Bouthillette and Jack Salisbury finished in second and third as the Rams totaled 38 points to easily outscore second place Bishop Hendricken.

Allesandro Campagna finished in seventh place to give La Salle four runners in the top seven. Alex Martinez ran a gutsy race and took home the 25th spot, securing the win for the Rams.
