TAVARES, PRINCIPE WIN INJURY FUND RACES

Senior Karina Tavares won the individual title in the Sullivan Race at the Girls Injury Fund Races at Burrillville Middle School Saturday, and Junior David Principe, Jr. took the title in the Bouthillier Race in the boys section as La Salle took both of the team titles, as well.
The Girls Cross Country team easily took the team title with 17 points to easily outdistance second place East Greenwich's total of 72, Eliza REgo and Emily Kane both crossed the finish line right with Tavares, and Alyson Walsh was right behind them in fourth place. Gabriella Celico came in 7th to account for La Salle's 17 points.

The Boys Cross Country team took the title with 26 points. Chariho finished second with 60 points. Matt Bouthillette crossed the finish line right behind Principe. Alex Campagna took a fourth, while Harrison DeWitt and Ben Carlisle took 9th and 10th.

Joe dosReis was the top La Salle finisher in the Boys Freshman Race as he took 2nd place. Mackenzie Doyle's 5th place was the best finish for La Salle in the Girls Freshman Race.
