FIELD HOCKEY WINS INAUGURAL GAME 1-0

The La Salle Field Hockey team started their inaugural season in fine fashion Wednesday night by defeating Cumberland High School 1-0 at Cimini Stadium. Before the first game began, Brother Thomas Gerrow, President, Mr. Donald Kavanagh, Principal, Fr. Michael Najim, Chaplain, and Coach Kadi Sickel presented the officials with the game ball. The entire La Salle Varsity squad was introduced prior to the game in this historic moment in Maroon sports history.

Sophomore Taylor Peltier scored the first goal in school field hockey history, and it turned out to be the game winner. Faith Breen had the assist. Allie O'Reilly had 7 saves in net to record the shutout.
