Led by singles wins by Marco Amendola, Andrew Dunn, and Jonathan Boyarsky, and the doubles win by Curtis Dyer and William Norton-Bliss, the Rams are back in the championship finals.

Boyarsky scored La Salle's first point with a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Dyer and Norton-Bliss won a hard fought three-set match 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Dunn also won a tight three-set match 7-5, 2-6, 6-4.

In any sport, scoring the final point, or getting the final out, to win is a difficult thing to do. Amendola was in a third set, as was the doubles team of Nimindu Ambalangodage and Christopher Stabile. Amendola sealed the deal first with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win to send the Rams into a frenzy, and into the finals.

Coach Joe Testa's team will go for the first RIIL State Championship for La Salle in Boys Tennis since 1977, on Monday at 2:00 pm, at Slater Park.
