LA SALLE ICES PROUT 4-1 IN SMITHFIELD HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT
The La Salle Boys Ice Hockey team defeated The Prout School 4-1 New Year's Eve Day in the Smithfield Holiday Tournament. Matt Botieri had two goals to lead La Salle.
The La Salle Boys Ice Hockey team defeated The Prout School 4-1 New Year's Eve Day in the Smithfield Holiday Tournament. Matt Botieri had two goals to lead La Salle.
Botieri scored the first and the fourth goals for the Rams. The Manown Brothers scored the other two goals.
Botieri put La Salle on top with a goal in the first period with an assist from Cameron Walsh. Prout tied it up in the second period, but Matt Manown scored what would be the game winner on assists from Derek Blanchette and Walsh. Joe Manown made it 3-0 with another second period goal. Blanchette and Alex Howard assisted on that goal. Botieri closed the scoring out in the third period with assists from Patrick Bowe and Howard.
Tyler Walsh had 12 saves in net to record thed win for the Rams.
