FRESHMAN FOOTBALL TEAM WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The La Salle Freshman Football team won the RIIL Freshman State Championship Saturday by defeating Bishop Hendricken High School 30-0 at Cranston Stadium. The team finished the season undefeated. The Rams had touchdowns from four different players. T-boy White, Kyron Lopes, Conor Regan, and John Farley all scored touchdowns. White and Farley both ran for two-point conversions, and Lopes hit Elijiah Mclean with a pass for a two-point score.

The Rams had touchdowns from four different players. T-boy White, Kyron Lopes, Conor Regan, and John Farley all scored touchdowns. McLean helped the Rams early by recovering a fumble that set up White's touchdown. James Picerelli had another fumble recovery to stop a Hendricken drive.

In the second half, after a TD saving tackle by Tunde Akinjobi, La Salle came back with a drive that was capped off by Lopes's TD run. 

On the next series, Brendan Walsh blocked a Hawk punt that was recoverd by Daniel Ennis. Lopes then hit Regan with a touchdown pass.  

Avien Peah recoverd another Hawk fumble that led to Farley's touchdown run.

La Salle shut out Bishop Hendricken in the two games they played, outscoring them 58-0.
