PEGASUS 7/8 Holds Community Service Breakfast

La Salle Academy PEGASUS 7/8 held its Annual May Breakfast celebrating community service on Wednesday, May 16 with a variety of speakers, musical offerings and presentation of an award to a student for winning poster contest.
 
The welcoming remarks and opening prayer were given by PEGASUS 7/8 Principal Robert Lisi.
 
The poster award winning student is Elsie McLaughlin for her entry in the 2012 Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Contest.  The Presentation was made by Mrs. Ann Burke, president of the Lindsay Ann Burke Memorial Fund.

Musical offerings by the PEGASUS Bands and Chorus included “American The Beautiful”, “Chameleon”, Holiday and “Our America”.  The Bands were directed by Mr. Brian Brouillard and the Chorus was directed by Ms. Paula Fontes.
 
“LVs Ride: A Coast to Coast Movement” was introduced by Ms. Elissa Cerros, who is the Regional Representative for Young Lasallians.  The Movement has become a unique way to raise awareness of LV (Lasallian Volunteers) mission to work “together and by association with one another” to help spread the message of La Salle’s mission in today’s world.
 
Student speakers were Megan Quirk, Jacob Gebhart, Bailey Greenberg and Maddie Mahoney.
