Erika Damiani '07 Pays A Visit Before Heading To Ireland
During finals week, Wednesday, June 15, 2011, we were paid a visit by Erika Damiani ’07 as she was waiting to see her former Spanish teacher Mr. Muir before she departed to the University of Limerick in Ireland to participate in that school’s ‘Blas International Summer School of Traditional Irish Music and Dance.’
“I was active in the arts at La Salle – theatre, chorus, A Cappella, and The Celtic Arts Club” said Erika who has been engaged in dancing for the last nine years. “I have been dancing in competitions and have achieved Prizewinner status.”
“My first few of years of college were at URI and I was driving back to La Salle two or three times a week to help out with the choreography of Celtic Arts,” she continued. “Now I am at RIC majoring in social work and will graduate next May. Upon achieving my diploma I intend to open a dance studio and put to use some of the many skills I will learn in Ireland.”

“Going to Ireland is an adventure, dancing in Ireland is a Dream Come True!”
Erika said that she remains close to Erin Ingalls, a 2006 La Salle grad who showed Erika around La Salle on her visit to the school as an eighth grader from Saint Augustine’s.
“Erin sought me out when I returned as a freshman and we have stayed close friends ever since,” said Erika.
