2011 La Salle's Got Talent Proves La Salle Has Talent!

The third annual La Salle’s Got Talent 2011 was a hit with the audience, the performers and the judging panel which, due to the very impressive level of talent, had the difficult task of picking win, place and show for the evening.

With 13 very accomplished entrants from which to honor the top three based on a numerical ballot system, judges Mr. Ciccone, Ms. Naughton and Mr. Haynes wound up with four official winners thanks to two performances being tied for third place.

Judged the best talent of the evening was senior Chris Lee who composed the music and wrote the lyrics for his original song “Hello Beautiful” as well as being the vocalist and pianist.  Horse racing fans would call it the perfect quad-fecta!

Second place went to the band Out of Your League – a quartet of juniors Brady Conley, Brendan Connallon, Pat Durfee and Munib Elkhatib who played and sang their original song, “I Don’t Want You” to the adoring crowd.  This boy-band had the distinction of being the only non-seniors to win an award.

The judges obviously had some difficulty in determining third place as that spot was shared by seniors Alexa Stufano and Adam Fague.  Alexa danced on point/toe on a variation from “Esmerelda” while Adam played his guitar rendition of “For the Love of God” from guitarist Steve Vai’s 1990 album Passion and Warfare.  Both performances brought cheers from the audience.

Other entrants included:

-          Ben Long singing “A Long Day” which he composed
-          Lauren Busteed sing and performing the Song “Roxy” from Chicago
-          Chris Casey and Erica Rebussini performing Synchronized Form Karate

-          The Band ESCAPE of Jeff Dilorio, Justin Pires, Adam Tortolanni, Logan Underwood and Mikhail Woloohojian played a medley of Bon Jovi songs

The evening was sponsored by Senior Class Dean Mrs. Wynter Kelly and The Senior Class and Junior Class Dean Mr. Timothy Donovan and The Junior Class.
