Manuel Ortiz '07 To Receive Emerging Leader Award

We received a very welcomed note from Brother Lawrence Goyette, FSC, executive director of The San Miguel School in Providence.  He told us that the San Miguel had nominated La Salle Academy graduate Manuel “Manny” Ortiz ’07 for this year's Leadership Rhode Island's Emerging Leader Award and that Manny has been selected to receive the award.

The Emerging Leader Award recognizes an outstanding young person whose vision, dedication, and leadership qualities have inspired others to take action to create community change. The nominee must be 21 years of age or under, or 23 or under and enrolled full-time as an undergraduate, at the time the award is presented. The nominee's leadership must serve a community or communities in Rhode Island.
 
The award will be presented on Thursday, March 17 at a noon luncheon at the Orms Street Marriott.
