Keating, Papazian, Falvey, and Jansen Dominate ProJo's All-State Girls Cross Country Team

Juniors Molly Keating, Emily Papazian, Sophomore Evie Jansen, and Freshman Caroline Falvey all were named to the Providence Journal's 1st team All-State Girls Cross Country team.

Juniors Molly Keating, Emily Papazian, Sophomore Evie Jansen, and Freshman Caroline Falvey all were named to the Providence Journal's 1st team All-State Girls Cross Country team.

The ProJo had this to say about Molly, "Keating maintained her dominance this season, successfully defending both her Class A title (18:33) and her individual state crown (18:51) while helping La Salle successfully defend its Class A and state team titles in the process. The junior was the top Rhode Islander at the Great American Cross Country Festival, where she placed 28th overall in 18:42, as well as in the Varsity “B” race at the Manhattan Invitational, where she took third in 15:17."

About Emily, the ProJo said, "Papazian makes her debut on the All-State first-team, earning her third All-State selection overall. The junior helped La Salle capture its fourth straight State Championship, placing fourth in 19:20. Her fourth place finish (19:31) at the Class A meet also helped the Rams win their fourth consecutive team title at that race. Papazian was third Rhode Islander, 33rd overall, for the runner-up Rams at the New England Championships in 20:54 and was 47th (20:00) at the Nike Team Northeast Championship, helping La Salle to 10th place."

About Caroline, the ProJo said, "The future looks bright for La Salle because of runners like Falvey. She placed second at the Freshman State Championships (15:34 over 2.5 miles), third at the Class A Championships (19:28) and then fifth at the State Championships (19:21). Falvey was also the fourth Rhode Islander, 37th overall, for the Rams at the New England Championships, helping the state champs to a second-place finish. She also helped La Salle to 10th place at the Nike Team Northeast Championship, placing 57th in 20:18."

Finally, they had this to say about Evie, "Jansen makes a repeat appearance on the All-State first-team. The sophomore provided valuable points for La Salle with her eighth-place finish (20:11) at the Class A Championships and her seventh-place finish (19:28) at the state meet. She then led the Rams to second place at the New England Championships, where she took 26th in 20:36. Jansen capped off her season by placing 79th at the Nike Team Northeast Championships in 20:40. She also finished 13th (16:07) in the Varsity “B” race at the Manhattan Invitational."

Sophomre Caitlin Marino was named to ProJo's 2nd team All-State Girls Cross Country squad.
