Graduates Come Back To La Salle Academy As Coaches

The old Beach Boys song “Be true to your school” could have been written about the athletic coaching staff of La Salle Academy, a Catholic high school in Providence, Rhode Island.

Of the 83 coaches 36 are La Salle Academy graduates as is the athletic director and thus a full 44 percent of the staff are graduates of the school.  Eight of the head coaches of various boys and girls teams are La Salle graduates with the other 28 serving as assistant coaches.

These alumni and alumnae coaches are more than just true to their school -- they have been builders of true champions. Since the beginning of the new millennia the La Salle teams have won 55 state titles including an amazing 33 in just the last five years.
