Tom Battista '55 At Home in Rhode Island and California

The Class of 1955 celebrated their 55th reunion Friday and Saturday, October 15 and 16 and Brother Kevin Junk, director of alumni affairs and Tim Welsh ’93, vice president of advancement, were able to enjoy a pleasant lunch with Tom Battista ’55 a few days later.

 

Tom was part of his reunion committee and the class is very connected to La Salle.  He, and his wife Elaine, live most of the year at their home in Charlestown, Rhode Island but also have home in California.

Tom was part of his reunion committee and the class is very connected to La Salle.  He, and his wife Elaine, live most of the year at their home in Charlestown, Rhode Island but also have home in California. 

 

Tom’s connections to the entertainment business explain his creative and industrious pursuits with his class as well as in his professional life.  He has been involved in acting, producing and directing throughout his life.  Even as a student at La Salle Tom played the trombone very well despite the fact that he could not read music! 

 

Tom was a very good swimmer while at La Salle and played a significant role in the successes of some of La Salle’s very good swimming teams. Elaine and Tom fly back and forth to California visiting their children and maintaining their various interests.
