Scholars on 23 teams also faced off in the climactic Superquiz at day’s end during which representatives of each school took turns answering 45 multiple-choice questions on the French Revolution.

For example, how many political clubs were there in revolutionary France?  Were there 25,000 or 1,200 or 10,000 or 250 or 5,000?   The answer was 5,000.
