La Salle Students Well Represented in RI Model Legislature

La Salle Academy is very well represented in the 2009 Rhode Island Model Legislature as seven La Salle students were elected recently to a variety of positions.

 

La Salle Academy is very well represented in the 2009 Rhode Island Model Legislature as seven La Salle students were elected recently to a variety of positions.

 

The two highest ranking positions in the Model Legislature, President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives, were filled by Demetrios Andreadis ’09 and Matthew Rogers ’09 respectively.

 

Nicole Kyle ’09 was elected Conservative Whip in the House of Representatives and Christopher Dionisopoulos ’09 was chosen as the Conservative Leader in the Senate.  Elected as Committee Chairs were James Hornstein ’09, Peter Blais ’09 and Jeremy Slap ’10.

 

The Rhode Island Model Legislature is made up of students from high schools throughout the state.
