The La Salle Football team defeated Barrington 6-3 in a defensive battle at the Lou Cimini Athletic Stadium. Senior Captain Michael Okunfolami scored what turned out to be the winning touchdown right before the end of the 1st half. Barrington's Matt Capone kicked a third quarter field goal to close the gap, but that would be the end of the scoring. it wouldn't be the end of the excitement, though. Both teams played great defense. La Salle was led by seniors Frankie Rodriguez, Mitchell Philogene, Justin Meunier, Justin Cooke, and Brandon Williams who combined to keep Barrington out of the end zone. Both teams sported big offensive and defensive lines and they pushed each other around to a stalemate for most of the game.
