La Salle Announces a new Principal

La Salle Academy announces the appointment of Mr. Timothy Welsh as the next Principal of La Salle Academy.  Tim will join our community in his official capacity on July 1, 2022.
This announcement marks a major transition and milestone for La Salle Academy.  After more than two decades of steadfast leadership and dedication, Principal Donald Kavanagh will retire at the end of this school year. We are so very grateful for his service, especially because he has ensured that the success and growth of La Salle Academy will continue long into the future.  We made it a requirement in our search to find a candidate who would embody Don’s level of commitment to the Lasallian Catholic mission, respect for the faculty and staff, and his focus on the educational and personal growth of our students.

Tim is a leader who embraces the foundational values and beliefs of La Salle Academy’s rich 150 year history. He is also a person with the vision, imagination, and experience to continue La Salle’s legacy of being a future ready and high-performing school.   As an alumnus from the Class of 1993 and the former Vice-President of Institutional Advancement, Tim deeply understands all facets of our Lasallian community.

Please join us in congratulating Tim on his appointment and warmly welcoming him home to La Salle Academy in this leadership role.
