Ava Mancini ‘20 has been a seamstress since age 7. “Whenever people think of homemade items, they think of me. At the start of the pandemic, several family members and friends asked me to make masks for them.” To date Ava has sewn over 280 masks. The masks have been given to anyone who has a need for them, from a store clerk, to a nurse, to hospice workers.
“My goal was to help the people in our lives risking their health to take care of us. La Salle always reminds its students and faculty to give back to our community. What better time to give back than when we are all being affected.”
