Shadow Day
A Ram for a Day Shadow experience is the best way for a student to feel the spirit and excitement of a La Salle education.
Shadow experiences can be self-scheduled for families that already have a Blackbaud Account with La Salle Academy. All families who have attended Open House or have started an application have a Blackbaud Account. Log in to myLSA.org to review your checklist and schedule your shadow day now!
Not ready to apply yet, but want to shadow?
Call our office so we can guide you through starting a Blackbaud profile and scheduling a visit for your son or daughter. 401-351-7750 ext 122
Shadow days must be scheduled through our Blackbaud System. Please be sure that you have submitted your date request and completed the Shadow Confirmation link on your check list.
The shadow host MUST be in the grade your child is applying to enter in the fall. We prefer matching students with a host of the same gender. Only guests who are siblings may shadow their sibling in an alternate grade.
STUDENT HOST COORDINATION. If you requested a specific host: Please contact that family directly to remind their student to meet you in the Admissions Office at 8:25 AM. Check if their student has upcoming tests or plans to be absent so you can reschedule if needed.
If you do not have a host: We will match your child with one of our fantastic 9th graders who shares similar interests!
Drop-Off: Please bring your student to the security entrance (between the main school building and the chapel) between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM. Guests who arrive earlier will wait until 8:20 AM when shadow hosts arrive at the admissions office.
Pick-Up: Please return to the security entrance at 12:20 PM to pick up your child. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS MESSAGES. WE HAVE EXTENDED OUR VISIT DAY TO GIVE OUR GUESTS A BETTER EXPERIENCE AT LA SALLE.
Schedule & Accommodations: Shadow days are half-day events ending at 12:20 PM and custom schedules cannot be accommodated unless the guest is a sibling of a current La Salle student. Please contact us directly if this applies.
Dress Code: Male students should wear khakis with a dress shirt and tie, or a polo shirt. Female students may wear dress pants or a skirt with an appropriate shirt. All students should wear dress shoes or solid black sneakers. Please DO NOT wear a borrowed La Salle student uniform.
Lunch & Belongings: Complimentary lunch is provided, and students are welcome to bring a water bottle. Please do not bring backpacks, or other food or drink into classrooms. Other items should be left in the Admissions Office.
Phone Policy: La Salle policy requires students to keep their cell phones stored in their lockers. Guests are strongly encouraged to leave cell phones with a parent or guardian for the visit. If a guest brings a phone, it must remain put away and unused for the duration of the visit.
Important Form: Please ensure you completed the Shadow Confirmation Form linked to your "Ram for a Day" item on your Blackbaud checklist before your visit to notify us of any dietary or medical needs.
