BOYS' HOCKEY TEAM RETAINS WALSH TROPHY

On Friday evening, 1 December, the La Salle Rams and Hendricken Hawks hockey teams played in the annual Coach Ed Walsh Memorial Hockey Game.  The game is a time for both schools to remember an outstanding student-athlete at Bishop Hendricken and a hockey coach at both schools.  Before the start of the game Cam Walsh (LSA '13), Ed's oldest son unveiled his father's hockey jersey from Providence College (where Ed was a star goalie and catcher) which is now a permanent memorial on the wall of Thayer Rink in Warwick.

After the game which was won by La Salle (2-0), Tyler Walsh (LSA '15), another son who was an All-State goalie on the LSA State Championship team, presented the trophy to the La Salle team.  La Salle has captured the trophy for the three years of its existence.

The team named Junior goalie, Justin Spencer, its player of the game and awarded him the "championship belt."
