ST. LAURENT STARS AS LADY RAMS FINISH SECOND IN STATE GYMNASTICS MEET

Ashley St. Laurent took home the gold medal in the Vault and finished third in the All-Around Competition to lead the La Salle Gymnastics team to a second place finish in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League's State Gymnastics Championships Sunday at Rhode Island College's Murray Center. La Salle finished with 139.325 points, their best total of the year.

The Lady Rams were edged by North Kingstown High School for the state title. NK finished with an impressive 143.2 points.

St. Laurent took gold in the Vault with a 9.475 score. She earned bronze medals in the Bars, Floor Exercises, and the Beam. Her four event total of 37.075 earned her the bronze medal in the All-Around Competion.

Alexis Beaumier made it to the medal stand with her fourth place finish on the bars, while Brooke Robistow also made it to the medal stand with her fifth place finish in the Vault.
