A picture may be worth a thousand words, but this one is worth decades of history.

Nearly 70 years of La Salle Academy football coaching lineage was captured in a photograph taken at the Providence Gridiron Club Most Valuable Player Award Dinner on December 17, 2008.

The photo shows long-time La Salle Football coach Lou Cimini ’39 who coached Tom Mulvey '60, who coached Dom
Marcone '67 (not in the photo), who coached Geoff Marcone (current La Salle coach), who coached this year’s MVP players Colin Sullivan '09 and Joe Charest '09.

The photo was taken by Steve Lepre '67 who, along with Cimini, Mulvey and Dom Marcone, played for the legendary La Salle coach Jack Cronin.

Being at the front end of a 70-year coaching connection is quite a legacy and lineage for one of LaSalle's outstanding and loyal graduates, Lou Cimini, who is also a first class gentleman!
