LA SALLE STUDENTS SERVE IN CAMDEN, NJ

During the week of July 16-21 eight La Salle Academy students, accompanied by two faculty members,  are doing service in Camden, NJ (one of the poorest cities in the United States).  While doing their service there, they are staying at the Romero Center and following their Urban Challenge Program, described as "an urban, service-learning, immersion experience rooted in the Catholic faith tradition. Offering a point of access to the lives and stories of the people of Camden, NJ, and its surrounding communities, the Urban Challenge Program is a unique educational and retreat opportunity that serves mainly suburban high school and college-aged students."

The students are:
Lauren Campbell, Claire Collins, Katelyn DiSaia, Maeve Gleason, Tim Nigro, James Truslow, Holly Venditti, and Caroline Wilson.  They are accompanied by Math Department Chairperson, Ashley Carlino, and Math teacher, Steve Emerson.
