Vincent P. McGinn III Named La Salle’s Next Athletic Administrator

La Salle Academy's president, Brother Dennis Malloy, FSC, announced that alumnus and faculty member Vincent P. McGinn III will become the school’s new athletic administrator when Ted Quigley retires on June 30, 2021.

After a lengthy nationwide search, Mr. McGinn, who has served as class dean since 2005, was selected to lead La Salle's athletic program. Mr. McGinn graduated from La Salle in 1997 and is not new to the school's athletics; he formerly served as the Boys Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field coach and assistant coach for the Girls Cross Country Team.

Mr. McGinn said, "During my career, I've encountered few educators who are as committed to excellence and helping student-athletes achieve their full potential as the coaches here at La Salle." He went on to say, "I will work tirelessly with our coaching staff to continue the culture of success for which La Salle’s athletic program is nationally known."

Principal Donald Kavanagh said, "I've had the opportunity to watch Mr. McGinn's career over the past two decades; not only are the qualities he brings fundamental to success on the field, but they're also important to helping students succeed in the classroom and in life."

It's only fitting that La Salle Academy appointed Vincent P. McGinn III in 2021 – a year in which it celebrates 150 years. Being the fourth generation of the McGinn family at La Salle, Vincent represents a tradition that many families have enjoyed since the school first opened its doors in 1871.

With that, La Salle's faculty and staff look forward to the strong leadership Mr. McGinn will bring to his new position.
