TWO LA SALLE TEACHERS ATTENDING SALM WORKSHOP

This workshop is for Lasallian Religious Educators

Christine Estes, Director of Campus Ministry, and Deacon Gregory Albanese, Chairperson of the Religion Department, are attending the Brother Luke Salm Religious Education Workshop, sponsored by the District of Eastern North America (DENA).  It is being held from March 31-April 2 in Eatontown, NJ.  The Salm Workshop is an annual workshop to enhance and support the Christian education and evangelization of the young by providing professional development for and accompaniment to District religious educators and campus ministers.

The topic of this special Jubilee Year workshop is "One Heart--One Commitment--One Life: Accompanying Youth on Their Faith Journey."  The program includes three major presenters: Dr. Robert McCarty (Dynamics of Disaffiliated Youth: What Is This Telling Us About Ministering to Youth); Dr. Kevin Ahearn (What Difference Does a Synod on Youth Make); and, Maryann Donohue-Lynch (Accompanying Young People Today: The Lasallian Mission of Evangelization).  The workshop also provides networking experiences among attendees with similar roles.

The workshop is named for Brother Luke Salm, FSC, STD., a long-time theolgy teacher at Manhattan College.
