FACULTY/STAFF START SCHOOL YEAR WITH RETREAT

On Monday, 27 August, members of the faculty and staff of La Salle Academy gathered at Holy Apostles Parish in Cranston for the Opening of School Retreat.  The retreat day was planned by the Spiritual Life Committee and the theme of the day was "Unity in Diversity."

Traditionally, the retreat day begins with prayer and the introduction and welcoming of new faculty and staff members.  Twelve new members of the school community were greeted by all gathered and presented with a La Salle gift.

Katie Haidemenos, a LSA Campus Minister, assisted by a group from "Peace--Love" directed the activities of the retreat.  Small groups of faculty and staff participated in the expressive art therapy activities including painting, reflection, and sharing.

Reverend Thomas Woodhouse, Academy chaplain, celebrated Mass for the group in the upper Church and the day concluded with a hearty lunch in the Parish Center.
