The “Engineering a Better World” program is designed to take STEMeducation and the traditional Science Fair model into the real world on aglobal level. The Engineering Fair highlights small-scale, local solutions to theglobal challenges highlighted in the United Nations Sustainable DevelopmentGoals. All of these global issues will require solutions that are engineered.Our focus on “Global Challenges, Local Solutions” embodies many aspects ofSTEM, social justice issues, global citizenship, collaboration, andcommunication.  We hope to empowerstudents and to engage the community by showcasing a range of solutions andtechnologies designed by our young people. The goal of “Engineering a BetterWorld” embodies the imperative that we all share as educators and guardians –to prepare young people to create a better future for all and to care for theplanet that is our shared home.
