Alumni Theater Collaborative (ATC)

The Alumni Theatre Collaborative (ATC) is a group of La Salle Academy Alumni interested in fostering an inter-generational community through the performing arts.

Every Summer since the formation of the ATC in 2006, alumni both young and old are given the opportunity to become a part of the La Salle Academy theatre community in a variety of ways.  Whether it is performing, directing, lighting, sound, and set design, all alumni are encouraged to participate.

For more information on the Alumni Theatre Collaborative, e-mail LaSalleATC@gmail.com or contact program coordinator Thomas Haynes, Director of Fine Arts, at (401) 351-7750 extension 183 or email thaynes@lasalle-academy.org

Summer Arts Programs

La Salle Summer Touring Theatre mounts two Children’s Theatre pieces each summer for children ages 4-12. This touring troupe brings productions to many agencies around the state and is committed to working with economically disadvantaged children.

Arts Outreach

Arts Alive! is a joint venture between LaSalle Academy, San Miguel School and the
Providence/Pawtucket inner city Catholic elementary and middle schools. This arts
outreach program is multi-faceted and designed to utilize LaSalle Academy’s
resources to fill a variety of needs in arts education for underserved populations in
our local community with no cost to those schools.
During the school year Arts Alive! services schools through a free Saturday arts
program as well a comprehensive invited performance schedule. The Saturday
program uses 2 Arts faculty members, one LaSalle Academy alum, and 20-25
student volunteers to teach 135-150 elementary and middle school students
for eight Saturdays each semester. In addition to the Saturday program we invite
over 500 elementary school students into the school for children’s theatre, music
and dance performances throughout the year.
The Arts Alive! Summer Children’s Theatre Tour is made up of a company of 14-16
student volunteers, 2-4 alums and one faculty member. During the two week tour of
schools, libraries, day care facilities, facilities for severely disabled students and
camps, the Summer Theatre Tour is able to reach out to over 350 children between
the ages of 2 and 18 who might not normally have access to live theatre.
