Br. Ralph Bucci, FSC, '66 Returns As Director of Alumni Relations
“I have returned to La Salle – the third time! This is my “fourth life” at LSA. I graduated many years ago and then returned for my first assignment, as a teacher and then as assistant vice principal from 1971 through 1982,” said Brother Ralph. “My second return was to be the Dean of the Class of 2005, from 2001 until their graduation 2005, and now, the third return, as Director of Alumni Relations. It’s good to be back.”
“My over-arching responsibility is to be a conduit among our alumni/ae and between our alums and our high school alma mater, in any variety of forms. One exciting focus is to assist our five-year anniversary classes plan their respective reunions each year during an alumni reunion weekend,” continued Brother. “Also, I also look forward to working with the alumni association and its growing outreach efforts, especially the goal it shares with the advancement office to establish a class- and decade-agent program. We want to facilitate communication and contact with and among our alums. I anticipate, as well, meeting and greeting alums who live at great distances from Rhode Island through area receptions in some parts of the country.”
“I am excited about the work because I can connect with students I taught over the years and for whom I have great affection and fond memories; because I will meet older and younger alums who are proud of our common heritage as Lasallians, and who have made La Salle the great academy that it is and want to guarantee the same for new young people and because I will have the opportunity to meet and work with soon-to-be alums who will shape our society,” he explained.
