International Students

La Salle Academy has as part of its mission, “the education of young men and women of diverse backgrounds.”  This mission is enriched by the presence of International Students at our school.  Lasallian institutions are located around the world in over 80 countries.  As part of this global network, La Salle Academy in Providence prides itself on the inclusion of students from around the world so that domestic and international students have opportunities to learn from one another.  

International Admissions Process

La Salle is dedicated to enrolling highly qualified and dedicated International Students through reputable and supportive agencies.  Students applying from China and Korea must work with Nacel Open Doors or The Cambridge Institute to submit a formal application to La Salle Academy.

La Salle Academy processes and maintains all International Student I-20s.  I-20 forms are issued only to those students who have been offered admission to La Salle Academy.  

Hosting an International Student

La Salle Academy works in partnership with GP Homestay to provide safe and healthy living accommodations for our International Students living abroad.  GP will provide a dedicated support staff, host family training and 24-7 emergency support throughout the school year, as well as regular group activities to share with other participating families.  If you are interested in more information about the opportunity to host an International Student and can provide them a caring home, transportation to and from school and school events, and the support necessary for the student to find success in our community, please visit  You may also submit an inquiry form here in order to start your host parent process.
