Spiritual Life
The spiritual life of La Salle Academy is based in the gospel messages of Jesus Christ. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit each program seeks to develop a faith life in the tradition of the Catholic Church and the charism of our founder, St. John Baptist de la Salle.

Prayer is the heart of La Salle Academy. The school day begins with a traditional La Sallian reflection led by faculty, staff and students. Additionally each class, activity, or assembly begins with the words “Let us remember we are in the Holy presence of God.”

The La Salle community finds its strength in the sacramental life of the Catholic Church. The Eucharist is celebrated on all Holy days of obligation as well as daily during the seasons of Advent and Lent. We have a Mass of the Holy Spirit celebrated in the beginning of the school year. A welcome Mass for the freshman class and parents is held each September at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. A Junior Liturgy during the month of October is celebrated in a local parish for the blessing of the class rings. Ash Wednesday we gather together to begin the season of Lent. Finally in June we celebrate a Senior Mass for our graduates and parents.

Our school chapel is found in the Campus Ministry center. This Eucharistic chapel affords both faculty and students the opportunity for quiet meditation and prayer during the school day. The Campus Ministry team coordinates the spiritual life for La Salle. Each student attends a yearly retreat and is offered an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation. This essential program also provides prayer experiences, pastoral counseling, and service opportunities to help us witness to the gospel values of Jesus Christ.
