Hello to everyone,
We received the following email from Michael Fay ’69 that was also sent to a number of his classmates and friends:
Hello to everyone,
Had a few minutes of free time, so I thought I would take a moment and update everyone as to what is happening on the other side of the Atlantic!
I had been working as a pilot for the Royal Family in Abu Dhabi. However, one of their financial interests, Afriqiyah Airways, located in Libya had a very bad crash in May. I am not the Director of Training there. Interesting would be an understatement to say the least. But, I spend about 2 weeks in Tripoli and then I am back in the UK.
My wife received her PhD in English, this past July from the University of York. And my middle son, Matthew is off to London School of Economics in the fall. My oldest, Mick is going to law school in the UK and wants to concentrate on international law and human rights. He will single-handedly change the world...sounds familiar.
My daughter is 15 and keeps plugging along and will enter College (the UK version of your junior and senior year of high school).
As I write this email, I am sitting in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Hope everyone is doing well. Please feel free to forward this email if I missed someone. Does anyone have an up to date email list?
Cheers to all and if you are ever in the UK and want a good cold beer or a place to stay, please let me know.
Mike
