SABIR, DEFENSE LEAD RAMS TO FINAL FOUR

The La Salle Boys Basketball team advanced to the RIIL's Final Four with their 69-60 win over East Providence High School Sunday night at Brown University's Pizzitola Center. The Rams used a 14-0 run to start the second half to open the game up. Lawrence Sabir, Jr. led the way with 32 points.

The Townies held a 6 point lead at the half before the La Salle defense came to life. The 14-0 run to start the half gave the Rams a cushion to work with. Senior Avien Peah had several big rebounds, and contributed 3 hoops during the run. Mike McCourt scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half.

La Salle now takes on Smithfield High School Saturday night at 6:00 pm at the University of Rhode Island's Ryan Center.
