LA SALLE BOYS TAKE METROPOLITAN DIVISION TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

The La Salle Boys Indoor Track and Field team won the RIIL Metropolitan Division Championships Wendesday night at the PCTA. The Rams edged Central High School 115 to 96. Barrington finished third with 70 points.

As usual, the Rams were led by their distance aces, Jack Salisbury, Matt Bouthillette, and DJ Principe. Those three took the first three places in the 1500 meters with times of 4:00.49, 4:00.69, and 4:00.88. Very impressive performance. In the 3000 meters, La Salle took it one better, taking the first four places. Principe and Bouthillette went 1-2, with Alex Campagna and Harrison DeWitt taking 3-4. In the 1000 meters, Salisbury, Principe, Bouthillette, and Campagna went 1-2-3-5.

Junior Sam Coleman had a great day, taking a second int he 55 meter dash, and a fourth in the 300.

The Rams placed in three of the four field events. Kevin Coogan took a second in the high jump. Ethan Ennis had a fourth in the long jump, and Cameron Croce toook a sixth in the shot put. 

The 4 x 800 relay took gold behind Joe dosReis, Eric Salisbury, Ben Carlisle, and Connor O'Mara.
