RAMS END EVENTFUL AND SUCCESSFUL 2015 WITH A WIN
2015 was arguably the greatest calendar year in the long and storied history of La Salle Academy Athletics. During the calendar year, La Salle took home 12 Rhode Island Interscholastic League State Championships, including the 2015 RIIL Boys Basketball championship. Coach Eric Simonelli's team closed out 2015 with a matinee win over King Phillip High School 41-38 on New Year's Eve at the MAC.
Senior Mike McCourt finished with 16 points in the hard fought win over the visitors from Wrentham, Massachusetts. Fellow Senior Jimmy Pare finished with 10 points.
The game closed out a year that will be remembered for a long time. As we turn the page on 2015, and look to 2016, all involved with the La Salle Athletic Program would like to thank everyone who supported our students and their teams. Your overwhelming support is one of the main reasons for their great success.
And now it is on to 2016!
