LA SALLE'S GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM REPEATS AS NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONS

The La Salle Girls Cross Country team defended their New England Girls Cross Country team title Saturday at Thetford Academy in Vermont. Senior Eliza Rego led the way with her 4th place finish. The Lady Rams totaled 60 points to top the powerful Coe-Brown School of New Hampshire by 26 points.

La Salle's Karina Tavares, Grace Connolly, and Emily Kane were the next three Rhode Island finishers as they took 14th, 16th, and 18th place, respectively. Audrey O'Neill closed out the La Salle scoring with her 44th place finish. O'Neill was the 8th Rhode Island finisher. Alyson Walsh and Elise Papazian were the 13th and 16th finishers in the race from Rhode Island. To have 7 of the top 16 runners from Rhode Island be from La Salle is an impressive feat.
