The mission of Therapy Missions is to treat, teach and train clients and their caregivers.  She has been on three mission trips -- two were to Juarez, Mexico and the most recent was March 2011 to Danli, Honduras.

During these trips Occupational and Physical therapists showed families how to use buckets, cardboard, pool noodles, and PVC piping to construct adaptive seats, shower benches, mobility aids, and positioning devices.

“The values that were instilled in me while I was at La Salle have shaped me into the person I am today.  I feel very fortunate and blessed to have received the quality education I did while at La Salle,” said Lucille.  “La Salle taught me about community service and volunteering through Campus Ministry and Lasallian Youth.  I believe this foundation of community service and ministry influenced my career choice and my endeavors with Therapy Missions. I am proud to be La Salle graduate.”

Therapy Missions is currently looking for Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists for future mission trips.  Check out their website www.therapymissions.org to find out how you can get involved or donate.
